Mass Effect 3 - The Fantasy

This wallpaper was created from and in response to the debut trailer of the game, Mass Effect 3, available here:

It's very exciting, featuring the central hero Commander Shepard, but lacks his famous squad members.

Those characters, IMHO, were what made Mass Effect unique. They're the best developed NPCs I've ever seen.

As a fan-service for all of us, I brought them back here. From right to left:

- Tali'Zorah Rayya of the Quarian migrant fleet
- Garrus Vakarian, the Turian dubbed "the Archangel"
- Commander Shepard, the legendary first Human Spectre
- Samara, the Justicar who'd kill her own daughter for justice
- Grunt, HE IS PURE KROGAN, YOU SHOULD BE IN AWE

The HD video is still relatively low-res, but by adding the squad with hi-res images, I tried to fool the eye.

Basically, it looks like the camera's focused on the team, thus Shepard in the foreground looks fuzzy for a reason.

What I like about this is this background is itself a roleplaying exercise. What is Shepard's team thinking of their leader?

Recommended Usage - set this as a "Fit" wallpaper, I've added a dark shadow gradient effect on the top and bottom.
